Figure 4-85. Add Connection Reservation Window
3. From the Zone list, select a zone that will be either the source or destina-
tion of the reserved connections. For inbound connections, this is the
source zone. For outbound connections, this is the destination zone. You
cannot select EXTERNAL.
4. From the Direction list, select one of the following:
Inbound if the reserved IP addresses are the destination
Outbound if the reserved IP addresses are the source
5. In the Reserved for IP Addresses fields, type the range of IP addresses to
which the reservation will apply. If there is only one IP address, either
type the address in both fields or type the address into only the first field.
You can reserve up to 1500 connections per IP address.
6. In the Reservation Count field, type the number of connections you want
to reserve for each IP address.
7. Type a comment in the Comments field if desired.
8. Click OK.
9. Click Save.
Example
In this example, two connection reservations will be made to ensure that:
Three IP addresses will always have five connections each into Zone1.
From the DMZ, there will always be 10 connections that are destined for
each of 23 IP addresses.
