Configuring High Availability
The prompt should look like the following:
hostswitch(tms-module-E)#
3. Enter the participant’s global configuration.
hostswitch(tms-module-E)# configure terminal
4. Disable high availability and optionally delete HA settings:
5. Save the current configuration and reboot the module.
When asked if you would like to reboot the module and if you want to save
the current configuration, type
[y].
For example:
hostswitch(services-module-C:PR)# boot
Device will be rebooted, do you want to continue
[y/n]? y
Do you want to save the current configuration
[y/n]? y
Saving running config...
Performing user initiated reboot.
6. When the module has rebooted, access the module again and verify that
the HA settings have been removed:
7. Verify the cluster’s IP settings:
Syntax: configure terminal
Enters the configuration context for the module.
Syntax: no high-availability
Disables HA on the master while retaining the startup-
config. (When removing the master from an HA cluster,
do not include the delete-cluster-data option. This option
is used to delete the startup-config when you remove a
participant from an HA cluster.)
Syntax: boot
Reboots the module
Syntax: show high-availability
Displays the module’s high availability settings.
Syntax: show vlan
Displays the module’s VLAN settings.
