Troubleshooting the TMS zl Module in Monitor Mode
You should also configure a default gateway:
hostswitch(tms-module-C:config)# ip route 0.0.0.0/0
<next-hop-IP>
■ The module’s management port is a tagged member of the manage-
ment VLAN.
When the TMS zl Module operates in monitor mode, its internal data 1
port is used to receive mirrored traffic. Its internal data 2 port is the
management port.
When you configure a management VLAN, port 2 is automatically tagged
on that VLAN. However, you should check this setting to make sure no
one has inadvertently changed it.
■ Traffic from the management station can reach the module.
You may need to check the network infrastructure to make sure that
traffic can be routed from the management station to the module.
Resolve Specific Issues Related to Accessing the Web
Browser Interface
Sometimes you may receive a specific error message when trying to access
the TMS zl Module’s Web browser interface. This section lists common error
messages and possible solutions.
■ You receive a Login Timed Out! error message.
If you receive a Login Timed Out! error message, you should start by
ruling out the obvious causes of the problem. You may want to quickly
make sure that one of the following has not occurred:
• Too much time has elapsed since you last accessed the interface.
• Someone else has rebooted the module.
If these are not causing the problem, ensure that the browser is accepting
cookies from the module.
If you are using Firefox, complete the following steps:
a. Click Tools > Options > Privacy.
b. Under Cookies, click Exceptions.
c. Type the module’s interface address and click Allow.
d. Click Close and OK to close both windows.
