Table A-17. Options for the connection-settings Command
connection-settings limit
This command sets the absolute maximum number for connections that a
specified zone is allowed.
Syntax: connection-settings limit <zone> <connections>
Replace <zone> with the zone for which you are setting a connection limit.
Note If you renamed a zone using a keyword in the CLI (such as GRE, VPN, or L2TP),
include the zone name in quotation marks when you enter the connection-
settings command. If you do not use quotation marks, you will receive the error
message “Invalid input.”
Generally, it is best practices to avoid using a CLI keyword when you rename
a zone.
The available zones and their default connection-settings limits are shown in
Table A-18. If you have changed the name of one of these zones, you will type
your user-defined name instead.
Option Result
limit Sets number of connections allowed in each zone
timeout Sets timeout limits for inactive sessions
reservation Allows you to reserve firewall associations for specific
addresses or address ranges
