Command-Line Reference
Global Configuration Context
snapshot
This command creates a restore point for your network. The snapshot com-
mand captures information about the following:
■ Kernel
■ Hardware
■ Log files
■ Software
■ File systems
■ Networks
■ Services
■ Miscellaneous files
■ Third-party software
To take a snapshot, type the following command:
Syntax: snapshot
snmpv2
This command configures SNMPv2 settings. With this command, you can:
■ Enable (or disable) SNMPv2
■ Configure communities
■ Set access rights
To enable SNMPv2, enter the following command:
Syntax: [no] snmpv2 server enable
Note You can only enable one version of SNMP at a time—either SNMPv2 or
SNMPv3. This meant that when you enable SNMPv2, SNMPv3 is automatically
disabled.
To configure SNMPv2 communities and set access rights, enter the following
command:
Syntax: [no] snmpv2 server community <community name>
[ < operator | manager > | <restricted | unrestricted> ]
Replace <community name> with the name that you want to assign to the
SNMPv2 community.
