RIP Context
default metric
To set the default metric, which is the cost assigned to all RIP routes by default,
enter the following command:
Syntax: default-metric <metric>
Replace <metric> with the new default metric for RIP routes (1–15). The
default setting is 1.
poison-reverse
To enable (or disable) poison reverse, enter the following command:
Syntax: [no] poison-reverse
For information on poison reverse, see “RIP” on page 9-15 of Chapter 9:
“Routing.”
redistribute
To enable (or disable) the redistribution of certain types of routes into RIP,
enter the following command:
Syntax: [no] redistribute < connected | static | ospf >
restrict
To prevent the TMS zl Module from advertising routes to specific subnets,
enter the following command:
Syntax: [no] restrict < <IP address> <mask> | <IP address/prefix length> >
Replace <IP address> <mask> with the IP address and subnet mask of the
subnet that you want to restrict.
Replace <IP address/prefix length> with the IP address and prefix length
of the subnet that you want to restrict.
Use the no option to remove a previously-configured restriction.
