2. Install the product license key by typing the following command:

For example, if the product license key is SG000GG000-A-0123456-

ABCDEFG-0123456-ABCDEFG, you would type:

hostswitch(services-module-C:HD)# licenses install

activation SG000GG000-A-0123456-ABCDEFG-0123456-

3. Continue by completing one of the following steps:

• Register an IDS/IPS signature subscription (if you have purchased

one). You can register the IDS/IPS signature subscription now as part

of the initial setup or later after you have activated the TMS zl Module

and booted it to the Product OS. To register it now, see “Register the

IDS/IPS Signature Subscription” on page 2-25.

• Boot the TMS zl Module to the Product OS so that you can begin

configuring the product. See “Boot the TMS zl Module to the Product

OS” on page 2-30.

To receive IDS/IPS signatures, you can purchase an HP ProCurve Threat

Management Services zl Module with 1-Year IDS/IPS Subscription (J9156A).

Or you can purchase one of the following subscriptions separately from the

module:

■ HP ProCurve Threat Management Services 1-Year IDS/IPS Subscription

(J9157A)

■ HP ProCurve Threat Management Services 2-Year IDS/IPS Subscription

(J9158A)

■ HP ProCurve Threat Management Services 3-Year IDS/IPS Subscription

(J9159A)

To begin using an IDS/IPS signature subscription, you must first register it on

the My ProCurve portal (a process that is outlined below). Unlike the TMS zl

Module activation process, the subscription registration process does not

require you to install a subscription license key.

Syntax: licenses install activation <license key>

Installs the product license key on the switch.

Replace <license key> with the product license key that was

generated when you registered the TMS zl Module on the My

ProCurve portal.
