Note Complete this task even if you plan to use RADIUS authentication for man-
agement users because the local accounts remain active whether RADIUS
authentication is enabled or not.
To configure new passwords for local management users, follow these steps:
1. Click Network > Authentication and click the Management Users tab.

2. From the User list, select manager (read/write) or operator (read only).
3. For Old password, type the current password.
Note The default passwords are: manager = procurve; operator = operator.
4. For New password and Confirm new password, type a new password for the
user. The new password cannot have more than 14 characters.
5. Click Apply My Changes.
Note The operator cannot change passwords. Operator is read-only in all windows.
6. Click Save.
