Overview
The HP ProCurve Threat Management Services (TMS) zl Module detects and
mitigates threats from both internal and external sources. The module sup-
ports multiple capabilities for managing threats, which you can enable in
various combinations. These capabilities include:
■ Intrusion Detection System/Intrusion Prevention System (IDS/IPS)
■ Firewall
■ Virtual Private Network (VPN)
■ User authentication
Other features support the main threat-management capabilities:
■ Routing (static and dynamic)
■ Network Address Translation (NAT)
■ High Availability (HA) clusters
Hardware Overview
HP ProCurve Open Network Ecosystem (ONE) provides a flexible, open
standards-based platform that delivers additional applications and services
from both ProCurve and an array of leading application and appliance ven-
dors. Applications within this diverse community can be implemented on
standalone appliances, industry-standard servers such as HP ProLiant, or as
ProCurve ONE Integrated applications, which can be embedded within the
network switch, utilizing the HP ProCurve ONE Services zl Module.
The Threat Management Services zl Module is an HP ProCurve ONE zl
Services Module that runs the Threat Management Services product software.
