Manage VPN Connections and GRE Tunnels
■ Assigned Address—The virtual IP address assigned to the user’s device for
the L2TP connection. The address could have been assigned by the
RADIUS server itself or selected from a range of addresses configured for
the domain on the TMS zl Module.
View GRE Tunnels
You can view information about your GRE tunnels. Click VPN > GRE.
Figure 7-309. VPN > GRE Window
The window displays all of the tunnels that are configured on the module,
providing the following information for each:
■ Tunnel Name—the name assigned to the tunnel when it was configured
■ Tunnel IP Address—the TMS zl Module’s IP address on the tunnel interface
(indicated by 5 in the example figure below)
■ Firewall Zone Association—the zone associated with the tunnel interface
Traffic that is received on the tunnel has this zone as its source zone.
Traffic that is routed across the tunnel has this zone as its destination zone.
■ Source IP Address—the TMS zl Module IP address that acts as the local
gateway for the tunnel; the remote tunnel gateway sends GRE traffic to
this address. (This address is indicated by 1 in the example figure.)
■ Destination IP Address—a reachable IP address on the remote tunnel
gateway; the TMS zl Module sends GRE traffic to this address. (This
address is indicated by 3 in the example figure.)
