Troubleshooting
Basic Troubleshooting Tools
Contacting HP Support
If you follow the troubleshooting processes and tips outlined in this chapter
but still cannot resolve the problem you are experiencing, you may decide to
contact HP Support. Before doing so, HP Support recommends that you gather
some troubleshooting information that will help HP Support begin to under-
stand the problem.
1. Access the TMS zl Module’s CLI:
hostswitch# services <slot ID> name tms-module
2. Enter:
hostswitch(tms-module-C)# snapshot
The snapshot command captures information about the following:
•Kernel
Hardware
Log files
Software
File systems
•Networks
Services
Miscellaneous files
•Third-party software
3. Enter:
hostswitch(tms-module-C)# show tech
This command gathers information that HP Support can analyze to pin-
point the problem.
You may also want to run the show tech command on the TMS zl Module’s host
switch.
