Global Configuration Context
user group
This command can be used to create a user group object.
To create (or delete) a user group object, enter the following command:
Syntax: [no] user group <group name>
Replace <group name> with the name of the user group object you are creating.
Note For the group name, you can use up to 14 alphanumeric characters and the
following special characters: space, period, comma, hyphen, (-), exclamation
point (!), dollar sign($), asperand sign (@), asterisk (*), hash sign (#), and
underscore (_).
When creating a group name that includes spaces, you must surround the
group name with quotation marks (“). For example:
hostswitch(tms-module-<slot ID>:config)# user group “it
staff”
vlan
Enter this command from the global configuration context to:
■ Assign a VLAN to a zone
■ Assign an IP address to the VLAN
■ Configure IP routing and multicast settings on the VLAN
■ Enter the VLAN context
Note You must assign the VLAN to a zone before you can enter any other commands.
vlan <VLAN ID>
To enter the VLAN context, enter the following:
Syntax: vlan <VLAN ID>
Replace <VLAN ID> with the VLAN ID. See “VLAN Context” on page A-182.
Use the following command to remove a VLAN association (the VLAN will no
longer be a TMS VLAN assigned to a zone):
Syntax: no vlan <VLAN ID>
