A-179
Command-Line Reference
OSPF Context
rfc1583-compatibility
To enable (or disable) RFC 1583 compatibility, enter the following command:
Syntax: [no] rfc1583-compatibility
For more information on this feature, see “OSPF” on page 9-27 in Chapter 9: “Routing.”
restrict
To prevent the TMS zl Module from advertising routes to specific subnets,
enter the following command:
Syntax: [no] restrict < <IP address> <mask> | <IP address/prefix length> >
Replace <IP address> <mask> with the IP address and subnet mask of the
subnet that you want to restrict.
Replace <IP address/prefix length> with the IP address and prefix length
of the subnet that you want to restrict.
Use the no option to remove a previously-configured restriction.
area
The area command allows you to define areas as NSSA, stub, or virtual-link
areas and configure settings for them. With command, you specify:
■ The area ID
■ Type of area—stub, NSSA, or virtual link
■ Cost
■ For NSSA areas, metric type—type 1 or type 2
Note The TMS zl Module also supports normal areas and the backbone area (area
0). However, you do not need to enter the area command to configure these
areas. When you configure OSPF on an interface and assign the interface to
an area, that area is automatically created as a normal area (area 0 is created
as the backbone area).
