played.
Figure 2-36. Add VLAN Association Window
3. In the Select a VLAN section, select a VLAN.
The TMS zl Module automatically detects the VLAN settings of its host
switch. The VLANs in the list are VLANs that are configured on the host
switch and that have not already been associated with a zone.
A VLAN that is not configured on the host switch cannot be associated
with a zone. To change a VLANs existing association, you must click the
Edit icon for in Tools column for the VLAN.
4. In the Select a Zone section, select the zone to which you want to assign
the VLAN.
5. In the Set VLAN Address section, complete one of the following:
Select Static IP to manually assign the modules IP address on the
VLAN. Then for IP Address and Subnet Mask, specify the static IP
address and subnet mask. For example, 10.1.3.1 and 255.255.255.0.
Select DHCP if you want the module to obtain its IP address on the
VLAN from a DHCP server.
Note Using DHCP to assign IP addresses to VLANs increases the time it takes to
boot the TMS zl Module. The amount of time depends on the number of VLANs.
That is, the more VLANs you configure to receive DHCP addresses, the longer
it takes it takes to boot the module.
