Overview

The HP Threat Management Services (TMS) zl Module detects and mitigates

threats from both internal and external sources. The module supports multiple

capabilities for managing threats, which you can enable in various combina-

tions. These capabilities include:

■ Intrusion Detection System/Intrusion Prevention System (IDS/IPS)

■ Firewall

■ Virtual Private Network (VPN)

■ User authentication

Other features support the main threat-management capabilities:

■ Routing (static and dynamic)

■ Network Address Translation (NAT)

■ High Availability (HA) clusters

Hardware Overview

HP Open Network Ecosystem (ONE) provides a flexible, open standards-

based platform that delivers additional applications and services from both

HP and an array of leading application and appliance vendors. Applications

within this diverse community can be implemented on standalone appliances,

industry-standard servers such as HP ProLiant, or as ONE Integrated applica-

tions, which can be embedded within the network switch, utilizing the HP

ONE Services zl Module.

The Threat Management Services zl Module is an HP ONE zl Services Module

that runs the Threat Management Services product software.
