Intrusion Detection and Prevention
Configure IDS/IPS
To customize the inspection depth, enter the following command from the
TMS zl Modules global configuration context:
Host switch (config)# ips inspection-depth <client-to-
server> <server-to-client>
Replace <client-to-server> with the number of bytes you want inspected. You
can specify a number between 1 and 2147483647 (approximately 2 GB).
Specify 0 for full session inspection.
Replace <server-to-client> with the number of bytes you want inspected. You
can specify a number between 1 and 2147483647 (approximately 2 GB).
Specify 0 for full-inspection.
To view the current IPS inspection depth setting, enter:
Host switch# show ips inspection-depth
You will see output similar to the following:
ips inspection-depth 1024 1024
In this output, 1024 indicates that this module is using the default optimized
session inspection level.
View Signatures
To view the signatures, complete the following steps:
1. Click Intrusion Detection > Signatures and click the View tab or click
Intrusion Prevention > Signatures and click the View tab.
