a. For the 8206zl chassis, a maximum of 2 of these modules may
be installed. A maximum of 4 of these modules may be installed
in any other zl switch. If a module is installed in excess of these
quantities, the module will not boot.
For the 5400zl chassis, the module has a dual temperature speci-
fication depending on where the modules are installed. If all four
modules are installed in the left hand side of the chassis the
temperature specification is set to 50
C for the chassis. If any
modules are installed on the right hand side of the chassis, then
the temperature specification for the chassis is 40
C.
If you are running a 5406zl and want the 50
C temperature speci-
fication, then only three modules are supported in the chassis as
that is all the slots there are on the left hand side.
For both the 8206zlchassis and the 8212zl chassis, if all modules
are installed in the left hand side of the chassis, the temperature
specification is set to 45
C. If any modules are installed on the right
hand side of the chassis, then the temperature specification for
the chassis is 40
C.
