2-12
Getting Started
Initial Configuration
Caution A product index number (the number '2' in the command services c 2) is
subject to change on reboot. Note that the alternative command to access an
application CLI:
services <slot-id> name <application-name>
works in all cases. Use the show services command to see the <application-
name> listed under the Name heading.
Configure Management Access
By default the TMS zl module does not have an IP address or VLAN assignment.
This section describes the steps required to configure management access.
For more information about these steps, refer to the Threat Management
Services zl Module Management and Configuration Guide.
1. Verify the application software is activated. For a TMS zl module in slot
ā€˜C’ enter:
hostswitch# show services c details
2. Access the TMS application CLI.
hostswitch# services c 2
hostswitch(tms-module-C)# config
3. Assign management access from a firewall zone.
hostswitch(tms-module-C:config)# management zone <
firewall zone
>
Success: Added <
firewall zone
> to management access zones.
4. Associate a VLAN with the management access zone.
When you first set up management access for the module, associate your
management workstation's VLAN with the management access zone that you
just enabled.
hostswitch(tms-module-C:config)# vlan <
vlan ID
> zone <
firewall zone
>
