Updating Product OS
3. Get an IP address (the “ip address” and “ip default-gateway” commands
also can be used to manually set an IP).
hostswitch<services-module-C># ip dhcp
Verify there is an IP address.
hostswitch<services-module-C># show ip
4. Download the Product OS.
hostswitch<services-module-C># download ftp <
ip address > < path >
5. Uninstall the previous version of the Product OS.
hostswitch<services-module-C># uninstall product
6. Install the Product OS, pressing enter whenever prompted.
hostswitch<services-module-C># install product <
directory >
(Note: Tab completion may be used for the directory name.)
7. Boot the Product OS.
hostswitch<services-module-C># boot product
8. Check the version of the updated software and confirm that it is running:
hostswitch# show services C

Versions : A.01.06
Current status : running
