Getting Started
2. To review the BSSID and SSID assignments, select Network Setup > Radio
> WLAN Assignments. On the right side of the screen, the 5 WLAN(SSIDs)
are noted and their assignments to the 4 BSSIDs. Note that BSSID1 is
assigned to Faculty1 and Math5, which correspond to SSID1 and SSID5.
SSID Math5 is shared on BSSID 1, but is not beaconed by the Radio Port.
Only SSID Faculty1 is beaconed on BSS-ID 1.
Note RP radios send beacon frames to announce the WLANs that they support. If
you enable more than four WLANs, RPs support all of them, but only announce
the first four.
3. The Module, wireless services-enabled Switch, and the radio ports are
now operational in Normal Mode.
4. Using your wireless-enabled laptop PC, confirm that the wireless network
with SSIDs Faculty1, Students2, Science3, ADM4, and Math5 are success-
fully operating. However, because RPs can only beacon the SSIDs of the
four primary WLANs (with Nomal Mode configuration, WLANs 1 through
4), Math5 does not display because its SSID is not beaconed by the Radio
Port.
