■ Operator—The operator has read-only access, which means the operator can
only view information. When a user accesses the Web browser interface using
the operator name and password, buttons (such as Apply or Edit) that allow you
to make configuration changes are unusable. (These buttons are dimmed or
missing from the screen, as shown in Figure 2-10.)
There is also an snmptrap user, which allows access to SNMP v3 traps sent by the
module.

The operator user is particularly useful if you want to assign a new IT staff member
the task of monitoring certain module functions; however, you do not want this IT
staff member to change the existing configuration. In this case, you could give this
IT staff member the password for the operator user but reserve the manager user
password for only senior-level IT staff.
