3. In the Trap Receiver IP Address, enter the IP address of the SNMP server.
4. Click OK. The configuration change is applied to the running-config.
5. To save the change to the startup-config, press the Start button at the
bottom of the navigation bar.
Viewing Information about SNMP Receivers. After you define an SNMP
server, you can view the following information about that server:
■ Destination address—IP address of the SNMP server
■ Port—port number the module uses to communicate with the SNMP
server. By default, the module uses port 162.
■ Community—Receivers are automatically assigned to the public com-
munity.
■ Retry count—number of times that the Wireless Edge Services xl Module
will try to contact the SNMP server
■ Timeout—number of seconds that the Wireless Edge Services xl Module
waits for a response from the SNMP server before ending the session
■ Trap Ve rsio n —the version of the SNMP trap sent to the SNMP server
