By default, stations are told to use 802.1p priority to place traffic in a queue.
You can configure the stations to use DSCP instead; see “Customizing Station
WMM Parameters” on page 3-79.
The Wireless Edge Services xl Module uses WMM to prioritize both down-
stream traffic (traffic sent from RPs to wireless stations) and upstream traffic
(traffic sent from wireless stations to RPs).
By default, RPs only prioritize downstream traffic, as shown in Figure 3-44.
All stations transmit traffic using the same settings, no matter the priority of
the traffic.
