Version: 1.50 Description Embedded in all HP ProLiant Gen8 servers, Intelligent Provisioning is a single-server deployment tool that installs the operating system, supplying most of drivers required for that operating system in a wizard-style format. Intelligent Provisioning replaces and improves upon the SmartStart CDs and Smart Update Firmware DVD that were used with previous generation HP ProLiant servers.

Updating instructions are documented in the HP Intelligent Provisioning User Guide. Known issues and suggested actions HP strongly recommends that the resolutions listed in this document be applied accordingly to instructions in the resolution documents. Failure to do so might result in issues that can cause disruption to the operation and functionality of HP ProLiant servers. This list is updated as new issues are discovered and resolved.
• The keyboard language is not updated from the default English keyboard layout when you enter your password in the OS information page and while logging into the OS. The appropriate language-specific keyboard layout will be available after the OS installation is completed. Suggested action: Ensure that the password you choose works with the English keyboard.
• An undefined error message is displayed if you enter alphabetic characters in the Advanced Network Settings fields in the iLO configuration utility. Suggested action: Be sure to enter only numeric values for IP addresses. • Clicking the active links in the EULA generates a web page error. Suggested action: Close the browser, reboot the server, and access Intelligent Provisioning again. Intelligent Provisioning does not permit access to the Internet.
