HP Intelligent Provisioning 1.50 Release Notes

• An undefined error message is displayed if you enter alphabetic characters in the Advanced
Network Settings fields in the iLO configuration utility.
Suggested action: Be sure to enter only numeric values for IP addresses.
• Clicking the active links in the EULA generates a web page error.
Suggested action: Close the browser, reboot the server, and access Intelligent Provisioning again.
Intelligent Provisioning does not permit access to the Internet.
• When deploying a deployment settings package, if the RBSU is password-protected, any
RBSU-related deployment settings are not applied, but no error message is displayed.
Suggested action: After completing the OS installation, reboot the server and access the RBSU
with administrator credentials and manually enter the settings.
Windows-specific issues
• Using the Custom installation method with a Windows 2012 OS installation using an iSCSI USB
media source, a “Windows could not set a partition active on disk” error appears.
Suggested action: The installation is successful on Smart Array Controllers.
• When using the SD card media source on a Windows 2012 Datacenter OS installation, the
version of the OS that is installed is Windows 2012 Server Standard.
Suggested action: Perform the installation with another media source.
• When using the NFS media source during a Windows Custom installation method, a “Connection
failed without an error message from OS” error message appears after entering the network share
server name in the Specify Network Connection and Credentials page, and clicking Continue.
Suggested action: Ensure that the network share server is registered in DNS.
• During a Windows 2012 OS installation, the Intel 10 Gb driver does not install.
Suggested action: Perform the installation outside of Intelligent Provisioning by installing the Driver
Update Disk (DUD) from http://www.hp.com/go/HPSC.
VMware-specific issues
• On the OS Information screen for an ESXi Custom installation, the Continue arrow is visible. If a
host name is entered in the Host Name field, the Continue arrow disappears.
Suggested action: Make sure the Host Name field contains at least three characters.
