Password guidelines
Removing user accounts (iLO RBSU)
1. Optional: If you access the server remotely, start an iLO remote console session.
2. Restart or power on the server.
3. Press F8 in the server POST screen.
The iLO RBSU starts.
4. From the iLO RBSU screen, select User→Remove, and then press Enter.
5. Select the user that you want to remove, and then press Enter.
The iLO RBSU prompts you to confirm the request.
6. To confirm the request, press Enter.
7. Select File→Exit.
Adding user accounts (iLO 4 Configuration Utility)
1. Optional: If you access the server remotely, start an iLO remote console session.
2. Restart or power on the server.
3. Press F9 in the server POST screen.
The UEFI System Utilities start.
4. From the System Utilities screen, select System Configuration→iLO 4 Configuration
Utility→User Management→Add User, and press Enter.
5. Select any of the following privileges, and then press Enter:
• Administer User Accounts
• Remote Console Access
• Virtual Power and Reset
• Virtual Media
• Configure iLO Settings
6. For each option, select one of the following settings and press Enter again.
• YES (default)—Enables the privilege for this user.
• NO—Disables the privilege for this user.
7. Select from the following options, and then press Enter.
• New User Name
• Login Name
• Password and Password Confirm
8. Complete each option for the new user, and press Enter.
9. Create as many user accounts as needed, and then press F10.
10. Press Esc until the main menu is displayed.
11. Select Exit and Resume Boot in the main menu, and then press Enter.
12. When prompted to confirm the request, press Enter to exit the utility and resume the boot
process.
