HP SUM requires you to enter target and repository information when you log in using a
regular user account on a Linux system
If you log in with a Linux user account that does not have root privileges, HP SUM does not store the
targets between sessions. To store target information between sessions, you need to log into the host
system with root credentials.
Suggested action: To work around this issue, log in with an account that has root credentials. Logging
in with an account that does not have root privileges makes you add repository and target details.
vCenter becomes unresponsive when you are using HP SUM
HP SUM and vCenter both use network port 443. HP SUM does not use an alternate port when it
discovers that vCenter is using port 443.
Suggested action: If you are using vCenter, manually edit the hpsum.ini file and change the
default network port from 443 to another network port. For more information about network ports, see
“Network ports used by HP SUM” (page 10).
HP SUM does not upgrade iLO 3 firmware from 1.2x to 1.5x
