2. Verify that the rmware revision for the EV A array is installed.
EVA 3000/5000 rmware revision:

Contact HP Service and Support to obtain the latest rmware version for your storage array.
If you update the rmware, be sure to reboot the system af ter the update before you continue.
3. Install multipath software (SecurePath or HP MPIO DSM).

Windows with EVA storage requires the installation of HP StorageWorks multipathing software on
each host to achieve high-availability, multiple-path capability.

the AutoPath driver when prompted during the installation. Reboot the system after the software
installation before you continue.

IMPORTANT:
Review the MPIO documentation (readme and installation instructions). Review important
information concerning the HP MPIO DSM (prerequisites, system requirements, important

4. Connect the appropriate ber cables to the HBA cards.

Disk Array XP
The procedure below describes how to connect your storage server to an XP array.
1. Verify that the correct FC HBA driver version, rmware, and b oot BIOS are installed. Table 4
