Compaq ProLiant DL380 Server

Overview of the DL380 933MHz Server

The ProLiant DL380 933MHz server is available with the Pentium III Slot 1

processor. This server includes all the features of the 667MHz, 733MHz, 800MHz,

and 866MHz servers, all of which can be upgraded to a ProLiant DL380 933MHz

server.

Distinctive Features of the Upgraded ProLiant DL380 Servers

This new model brings the following changes to the DL380 Pentium III line:

n A 933MHz processor with 256KB integrated Level 2 cache

n An updated ROMPaq image dated 12/13/99 or later, accessible from the

Compaq website: http://www.compaq.com/support/files/server

Switch Settings

It is not necessary to modify any internal switch settings when implementing the

933MHz server, either as an optional upgrade or as a newly procured system.

Upgrade Path to the ProLiant DL380 933MHz Server

The Pentium III 933MHz Processor Option Kit also supports the 667MHz,

733MHz, 800MHz, and 866MHz servers, allowing customers an easy upgrade

path.

Note

When upgrading to a 933MHz system, you do not have to change the System

I/O Board; however, you must run ROMPaq to upgrade the ROM.
