Do one of the following:
o Extend the server from the rack (on page 32).
o Remove the server from the rack (on page 34).
4. Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 37).
5. Remove the air baffle ("Air baffle" on page 41).
6. Disconnect all cables connected to the fan board.
7. Remove all fan blanks and modules ("Hot-plug fan blank and module" on page 43).
8. Remove the fan cage.
9. Remove the fan board ("Fan board" on page 47).
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
Fan board
To remove the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 31).
2. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Do one of the following:
o Extend the server from the rack (on page 32).
o Remove the server from the rack (on page 34).
4. Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 37).
5. Remove the air baffle ("Air baffle" on page 41).
6. Remove the fan cage ("Fan cage" on page 46).
