Version: 1.60B Description Embedded in all HP ProLiant Gen8 servers, Intelligent Provisioning is a single-server deployment tool that installs the operating system, supplying most of drivers required for that operating system in a wizard-style format. Intelligent Provisioning replaces and improves upon the SmartStart CDs and Smart Update Firmware DVD that were used with previous generation HP ProLiant servers.

Known issues and suggested actions HP strongly recommends that the resolutions listed in this document be applied accordingly to instructions in the resolution documents. Failure to do so might result in issues that can cause disruption to the operation and functionality of HP ProLiant servers. This list is updated as new issues are discovered and resolved.
Documentation issues • Issue: In the “Intelligent Provisioning Quick Configs settings and corresponding RBSU settings” section of the HP Intelligent Provisioning User Guide and the online help, the following settings are inaccurate: ◦ Intelligent Provisioning Quick Configs settings (AMD-based servers), Minimum power usage, Minimum Processor Idle Disabled Enabled Disabled Power Core C1e State: Value should be Disabled not Enabled.
