3.7.0 HP StorageWorks MxDB-Oracle-HiAv installation and administration guide HP MxDB-Oracle-HiAv for Linux (AG513-96009, June 2009)

IMPORTANT:
Note the URL and port number reference when the repository creation is complete.
You will use the specified URL with that port number within a browser to access
dbconsole after the agent starts.
In our example, assuming manager is the password for all of these accounts, we
would enter the following when prompted:
Database SID: OLTP1
Listener port number: 9002
Password for SYS user: manager
Password for DBSNMP user: manager
Password for SYSMAN user: manager
Email address for notifications (optional): (as appropriate)
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) server for notifications (optional): (as appropriate)
Verify that OEM has been set up properly. In the same command window, run the
following:
emctl status dbconsole
The results should indicate that oracle enterprise manager is running. If emagent
is not running, wait 30 to 60 seconds and run the command again, as often the
startup of the Oracle agent is delayed.
Take the Virtual Oracle Service out of Maintenance Mode
You can now take the Virtual Oracle Service out of maintenance mode. Using the
CLI in our example, issue this command:
mxdb d OLTP1 M stop
Activate dbconsole on the backup servers
On all other servers in the backup list for this Virtual Oracle Service do the following:
1. Open a shell session on the server and set the ORACLE_SID, ORACLE_HOME,
and ORACLE_HOSTNAME as you did on the primary oracle server. Using our
example, this would be:
ORACLE_SID=OLTP1
ORACLE_HOME=/u01/app/oracle/product/11.1.0/db_1
ORACLE_HOSTNAME=OLTP1.customer.com
