Before replacing the component, install the optical drive bracket, retained from the optical drive you are
replacing.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
Power supply backplane
To remove the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 28).
2. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Remove all power supplies ("AC power supply" on page 41).
4. Extend ("Extend the server from the rack" on page 29) or remove ("Remove the server from the rack" on
page 30) the server from the rack.
5. Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 34).
