POST error messages and beep codes
Introduction to POST error messages
The error messages and codes in this section include all messages generated by ProLiant servers. Some
messages are informational only and do not indicate any error. A server generates only the codes that are
applicable to its configuration and options.
HP ProLiant p-Class server blades do not have speakers and thus do not support audio output. Disregard the
audible beeps information if the server falls into this category.
IMPORTANT: This guide provides information for multiple servers. Some information may not
apply to the server you are troubleshooting. Refer to the server documentation for information on
procedures, hardware options, software tools, and operating systems supported by the server.
WARNING: To avoid potential problems, ALWAYS read the warnings and cautionary
information in the server documentation before removing, replacing, reseating, or modifying
system components.
