HP Intelligent Provisioning 1.10 Release Notes

Operational issues
The server might appear unresponsive and need to be rebooted after clicking a link on the Package
Details page of any component in the FW Update Utility that references a web page on an external
website.
Suggested action: Internet access is disabled for security reasons. Do not click any links in the
Package Details page to the hp.com or any other website on the Internet.
Intelligent Provisioning appears unresponsive while loading.
Suggested action: Reboot the server and restart Intelligent Provisioning.
HP SUM might unexpectedly shut down while installing drivers and software during an assisted
installation.
Suggested action: Re-try the installation.
Intelligent Provisioning might issue a Java Script error message on the Hardware Settings page
after the Configure and Install tab is clicked on the Intelligent Provisioning home page.
Suggested action: Press OK and continue.
An FTP path with spaces or punctuation does not work.
When using a logical array, the message There are no physical disks attached
appears and the installation cannot continue.
Suggested action: The array logical drive must be configured before Intelligent Provisioning can
use it. Use the Array Configuration Utility in the Intelligent Provisioning Maintenance menu to
configure the array.
NIC cards might not be listed in the Intelligent Provisioning Firmware Upgrade utility.
Suggested action: To upgrade the NIC card firmware before installing the operating system,
upgrade the NIC card firmware using SPP in offline mode.
NTFS format USB drives are not detected in Intelligent Provisioning.
Suggested action: Use a FAT32 file system formatted USB key.
Installation of NFS and FTP will proceed with a disconnected Ethernet cable. It might appear that
the card is not working.
Suggested action: If the NIC appears broken, verify that the Ethernet cable is connected.
The SATA storage disk component (CP016455.scexe) is not updated through the Firmware
Upgrade Utility.
Suggested action: Use HP SUM to update the component from the SPP.
User interface issues
The NC5525SFP 10 Gb 2-port Ethernet Server Adapter is incorrectly displayed as HP NC552SFP
10Gb 2-port FlexFabric Converged Network Adapter.
The reboot button in the recovery ISO is labeled Reboot into F10, implying that it will reboot into
Intelligent Provisioning. F10 must still be pressed to enter Intelligent Provisioning.
After disabling the System Software Update option in the Intelligent Provisioning Preferences
page and then visiting the home page, Update before OS install is selected as the default System
Software Update option when following the Install and Configure path.
Suggested action: Select the Skip Update option even though it is already disabled in the
preferences. If you continue without selecting Skip Update, the system might become unresponsive
when attempting to update the system software update.
