HP Intelligent Provisioning 1.10 Release Notes

If an SPP hot fix has been applied and the IP repository has not been updated with the hot fix,
the Firmware Update screen displays the incorrect ROM versions.
Suggested action: Use SPP and HP SUM for the update.
When using Intelligent Provisioning in a non-English language, the Review and OS Info pages
may be displayed in English rather than in the selected language, even after changing the language
in the OS Product Information page.
When the power profile is updated with the Quick Config Utility on the Maintenance page, the
new setting is not reflected on the Hardware Settings page.
Suggested action: Modify the power profile on the Hardware Settings page, if necessary.
Windows-specific issues
When doing a recommended or custom installation of Windows Datacenter Core editions, the
system reboots after successfully copying Intelligent Provisioning and operating system files. After
Windows initializes, the Administrator account is not available. This issue also occurs with Windows
2008 SP2 x64bit Hyper V, Enterprise x64 Edition Core, and Windows 2008 SP2 x64bit Hyper
V, Standard x64 Edition Core.
Suggested action: After installing Windows Datacenter Core editions, log into the Administrator
account with a blank password. In this mode, you will see only a command line (cmd) page.
During a Windows custom installation, if you select WBEM on the OS Information page and then
click the Back arrow, WBEM resets to NO, the default value.
Suggested action: After clicking the Back arrow, verify all field values.
The Windows Small Business Server v7(base) operating image is too large for a FAT32 format
USB flash drive.
Suggested action: Instead of using a flash drive, use real media, do a network installation via
ISO, or mount virtual media through iLO.
SNMP cannot be installed on HP-branded Win 2008 Combo media using Intelligent Provisioning.
SNMP can be installed on HP-branded Windows 2008 R2 Combo media, which is supported.
Suggested action: Upgrade to Windows Server 2008 R2 or install the operating system manually
without Intelligent Provisioning.
During a Windows 2008 custom installation, if you select the Standard Edition Core operating
system on the OS Information page, click the Continue arrow to go to the Review page, and then
click the Back arrow to return to the OS Information page, the Operating System returns to the
default value.
Suggested action: After clicking the Back arrow, verify all field values.
During a Windows custom installation, AMS might be installed even when it is not selected for
installation.
Suggested action: Uninstall AMS if it is not wanted.
When installing Windows 2008 SP2, the recommended and custom installation methods require
a product key and will not proceed without it.
Suggested action: Have the product key available during the installation in case it is needed.
No information is populated on the System Management Homepage after a recommended
installation on Windows. This is expected behavior because by default only AMS is installed.
Suggested action: To populate the information in the SMH, install WBEM or SNMP agents.
