Overview of the Cluster Software

The Compaq Parallel Database Cluster Model PDC/O1000 (referred to here as

the PDC/O1000) combines software from several leading computer vendors.

The integration of these components creates a stable cluster management

environment in which the Oracle database can operate.

For the PDC/O1000, the cluster management software is a combination of

Compaq operating system dependent modules (OSDs) and this Oracle

software:

■ Oracle8i Enterprise Edition with the Oracle8i Parallel Server Option
