Sample Midsize Cluster with One Non-Redundant
Fibre Channel Fabric
Figure 4-1 shows an example of a midsize PDC/O1000 cluster with one
non-redundant Fibre Channel Fabric that contains four cluster nodes and three
RA4000/RA4100 Arrays.

Channel Fabric
The sample midsize cluster configuration shown in Figure 4-1 contains these
hardware components:
■ Four ProLiant servers (cluster nodes)
■ One Fibre Host Adapter in each cluster node
■ One Fibre Channel SAN Switch installed between the Fibre Host
Adapters and the shared storage arrays
■ Three RA4000/RA4100 Arrays
■ One RA4000 Array Controller in each RA4000/RA4100 Array
■ Cluster interconnect hardware (not shown)
G Ethernet NIC adapters, cables, and Ethernet switches or hubs for an
Ethernet cluster interconnect or
■ Ethernet NIC adapters, switches or hubs, and cables for the client LAN
(not shown)
