The sample midsize cluster configuration shown in Figure 4-3 contains these
hardware components:
■ Four ProLiant servers (cluster nodes)
■ One Fibre Host Adapter in each cluster node
■ One Storage Hub or FC-AL Switch installed between the Fibre Host
Adapters and the shared storage arrays
■ Three RA4000/RA4100 Arrays
■ One RA4000 Array Controller in each RA4000/RA4100 Array
■ Ethernet NIC adapters, cables, and Ethernet switches or hubs for the
Ethernet cluster interconnect (not shown)
■ Ethernet NIC adapters, switches or hubs, and cables for the client LAN
(not shown)

Figure 4-4 shows an example of a larger PDC/O1000 cluster with one
