Installing Additional Fibre Channel Fabrics or
FC-ALs
At this point, you have installed the hardware for one non-redundant Fibre
Channel Fabric or one non-redundant FC-AL. To add another non-redundant
Fibre Channel Fabric or non-redundant FC-AL to the PDC/O1000, install the
hardware for it, including:
■ One Fibre Host Adapter in each server
■ One Fibre Channel SAN Switch for each non-redundant Fibre Channel
Fabric
■ One Storage Hub or FC-AL Switch for each non-redundant FC-AL
■ Fibre Channel cables connecting the Fibre Host Adapter in each node to
the Storage Hub, FC-AL Switch, or Fibre Channel SAN Switch
■ One or more RA4000/RA4100 Arrays
■ Fibre Channel cables connecting the Storage Hub, FC-AL Switch, or
Fibre Channel SAN Switch to the array controller in each
RA4000/RA4100 Array
■ GBIC-SW modules for the Fibre Host Adapters, Storage Hub, FC-AL
Switch, or Fibre Channel SAN Switch, and the RA4000 Array
Controllers
