To use vCenter to configure NetIOC, follow these steps:
1. Enable NetIOC on the desired network switch by navigating to Properties > Resource Allocation.
2. Set the desired bandwidth shares once NetIOC is enabled by right-clicking the appropriate resource pool and using
the Edit Settings menu.

Disabling VMkernel boot flag “usePCC
Both HP and VMware recommend disabling usePCC if the option above was not set (HP Power regulator = OS Control
mode).
This can be achieved using several methods: through the BIOS via HP RBSU (Rom based Setup Utility) or through VMware
boot settings.
First method
To disable Collaborative Power control in the BIOS, follow these steps:
1. Reboot the server and press F9 when prompted during POST.
2. Navigate through the BIOS menu to to Power Management Options>Advanced Power Management Options>
Collaborative Power Control.
3. Ensure Collaborative Power Control is disabled by selecting Disabled if necessary (see Figure 8).
