Installation Instructions

Overview

This document provides instructions for installing the optional small

form factor I/O expansion module in the server.

Low profile I/O expander

1. Power down the server.

2. Press the release button, and open the lever.

3. Slide the I/O expander blank out of the server. Place a hand

under the component to support it as you remove it from the

server.

4. Install expansion cards in the I/O expander

a. Press the side buttons to remove the component cover.

b. To open the I/O card lock, push the blue tab, flip it back, then open the hinge forward. c. Remove expansion slot covers as necessary. To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
