Removal and replacement procedures 43
To remove the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 24).
2. Disconnect the power cord from the AC source.
3. Disconnect the power cord from the server.
4. Open the front bezel (on page 25).
5. Remove all drives ("LFF non-hot-plug drive" on page 32) and drive carriers ("Drive carrier" on page
31).
6. If the chassis cover was not removed in step 4, remove it ("Remove the chassis cover" on page 27).
7. Open the left and right side chassis cable clips to allow the drive cable removal.
o Right side cable clip
o Left side cable clip
8. Disconnect the drive power cable:
a. If installed, remove the optical drive ("Optical drive" on page 34).
