Description
The installati
on of the Intel network interface card driver fails when attempted
over a network s
hare.
Workaround
Perform th e installation directly from the Service Release DVD or by copying the
DVD contents to a local drive on the stor age server.
Issue:
InstallShield Error 1607/1628 during Service Release installation
Description
Installation error 1607: Unable to install InstallShield
Scripting Runtime and/or 1628: failed to complete
installation may be reported during installation of the Service Release. This
error can occur for various reasons, the most prevalent being a driver did not
exit properly when the Ser vice Release is run the first time. This issue is currently
under i nvestigation.
Workaround
Run the Service Release again after ensuring that no instances of the processes
named msiexec.exe, setup.exe,oridriver.exe are running.
Issue:
User intervention required during installation of SMS v2.02 on HP ProLiant DL100 G2 Storage
Servers and HP StorageWorks 400 All-in-One Storage Systems with the IMB v3.0 driver
Description
During installation of the Server Management System v2.02 on D L100 G2 Storage
Servers and HP StorageWorks 400 All-in-One Storage Systems, th e IMB v3.0

Workaround
AcceptingthewarningmessagebyclickingContinue proceeds with the installation
without any issues.

The HP Storage Server Management console may not be available after installing the Service
Release
Description
The HP S
torage Server Management console may not b e available after installing
the Service Release for some HP ProLiant Storage Servers and HP StorageWorks
All-in-One Storage Systems with the HP Storage Server R2 Localization DVD —
Windo
ws Multilingual User Inter face (MU I) Pack installed.
Workaround
Using Windows Add or Remove Programs, remove the HP Storage Server
Management Service. Run the Service Release installation again and install the
HP Storage Server Management console component.
Issue:
A mapped drive with a disconnected net work path might hang th e HP Service release Wizard
Description
If you h ave a mapped drive assigned to a network path that is disconnected, it
might hang the HP Service Release wizard during the installation process.
Workaround
• Pr
ovide the complete net work path URL as the path.
or
• Re
connect the network path for the mapped drive in Windows Explorer.
Issue:
A
reboot message is displayed even though the progress of installation is not complete
Description
After the installation of Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2, a reboot message is
prompted by th e HP Service Release Wizard. However, the progress bar shows
only around 50% completion.
