Manage Alerts feature

Integrated Lights-Out por t conﬁguration

The Integrated Lights-Out port on the storage server is initially conﬁgured through the Rapid Startup Utility.

SNMP is enabled and the Insight Management Agents are p reinstalled.

The Integrated Lights-Out port comes with factory default settings, which the administrator can change.

Administrators may want to add users, change SNMP trap destinations, or change networking settings.

Refer to the Integrated Lights-Out Port User Gu ide for information about changing these settings.

There are several methods for performing Integrated Lights-Out port conﬁguration changes:

• Web interface

• Integrated Lights-Out por t conﬁguration utility accessed by pressing F8 during a system restart

NOTE:

You must connect locally with a monitor, keyboard, and mouse to utilize the F8 feature.

Using the Integrated Lights-Out port to access the storage server

HP recommends using the web interface of a client machine to access the server remotely:

1. In the URL ﬁeld of the web browser, enter the IP address of the Integrated Lights-Out port.

2. At the Integrated Lights-Out Account Login window, supply the username and password for the

iLO and click Login.

3. Click the Remote Con sole tab.

4. ClicktheRemoteConsolechoiceinthemenuontheleftsideofthescreen.

5. Press Ctrl-Alt-Del to log on to the console.

6. Supply an administrator username and password.

The storage server desktop is displayed .

The Remote Desktop feature of the iLO port requires a license key. The key i s included with the product

inside the Country Kit. See the ProLiant Essentials iLO Advanced Pack for activation instructions.
