HP Storage Server Management Console

The HP Stora ge Server Mana gement Console is a new user interface providing one place to manage ﬁle

or print ser ving c omponents. The console is ac cessible either using Remote Desktop or web browser.

The Print Management page allows access either to Microsoft’s Print Management Console or HP’s

Web Jetadmin.

HP Web Jetadmin

Integrating the HP Web Jetadmin (WJA) print management application to the HP Storage Server or

File Print Appliance Management Console is new. WJA is a web-based tool for remotely installing,

conﬁguring, and managing a wide variety of HP and non-HP network peripherals using only a web

browse

r. It supports a modular design, whereby plug-ins can be installed to provide additional device,

age, and application functionality. WJA is not pre-installed on the storage server, but can be

installed (see "Web Jetadmin installation" on page 90)

HP Install Network Printer Wizard

The inclusion of the HP Install Network Printer Wizard (INPW) utility on the factory image is new. INPW

simpliﬁes the process of installing network printers, including conﬁguration set tings on the print server.

INPW identiﬁes H P Jetdirect network print devices and allows the user to select the printer to install on

the print server.
