CAUTION
: In a redundant power supply configuration, both power supply modules in the server
must have the same output power capacity. Verify that all power supplies have the same part
number and label color. The system becomes unstable and might shut down when it detects
mismatched power supplies.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
Optical drive
CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless
all bays are populated with either a component or a blank.
To remove the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 27).
2. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Unlock and open the tower bezel ("Unlock the tower bezel" on page 26).
4. Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 28).
5. Disconnect the SATA and power cables from the optical drive.
6. Remove the optical drive.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
