— Connect one end of the Mini-SAS cable to the backplane and the other end to an optional Smart
Array controller (SATA and SAS drive support).

7. Install the drives ("Drive options" on page 28).
CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless
all bays are populated with either a component or a blank.
8. Install the air baffle (on page 20).
9. Install the access panel (on page 19).
10. Install the tower bezel (on page 17).
11. Connect each power cord to the server.
