Minimum Hardware Configuration
Make sure that your server meets the requirements for minimum hardware
configuration. During the troubleshooting process, it may be necessary to
reduce your system to its minimum configuration, reinstalling options one at a
time to determine the cause of failure.

Component Minimum Specification
Processors A processor must be installed in the processor slot.
Server Feature
Board
The Server Feature Board is installed in PCI slot 3. The Server
Management Information Cable (SMIC) must be connected.
Fans A system fan must be installed and connected to the system board,
and a CPU fan must be installed and connected to the CPU heatsink.
Memory At least one slot must be populated with an ECC 133-MHz Registered
SDRAM DIMM.
NOTE: The maximum memory configuration is 4 x 512-MB memory modules.
