Compaq ProLiant™ ML350 Server Overview

The 933-MHz Model

The 933-MHz model ProLiant ML350 server is available with the Pentium III

processor. This new model includes all the features of the 600-, 667-, and 733-MHz

models, all three of which can be upgraded to a 933-MHz version.

Table 1 identifies the 933-MHz server.

Distinctive Features of the Upgraded ProLiant ML350 Model

Servers

This new model brings the following changes to the ProLiant ML350 Pentium III line:

n 933-MHz processor with 256KB integrated Level 2 cache

n An updated ROMPaq image dated 12/20/99[ADV1] or later, accessible from

the Compaq website: http://www.compaq.com/support/files/

n A 40X CD-ROM drive.

Switch Settings

It is not necessary to modify internal switch settings when implementing the 933-MHz

ProLiant DL360 server, either as an optional upgrade or as a newly procured system.

Compaq ProLiant ML350 Upgrade Path to the 933-MHz ProLiant ML350 Server The Pentium III 933-MHz Processor Option Kit is supported on the 600-, 667-, and 733-MHz servers, allowing customers an easy upgrade path. Note When upgrading to a 933-MHz system, you do not have to change the System I/O Board; however, you must run ROMPaq to upgrade the ROM. Upgrade Options Table 2 lists the upgrade option and spares kits associated with this processor.
